Join Us for a Four-Week Discussion Group: "On the Shortness of Life" by Seneca
As we enter November, a season of reflection and spiritual significance in the Church calendar, we are reminded of life's fleeting nature and the hope we have in Christ. It's a time to remember the saints, reflect on our mortality, and focus on what truly matters.
In this spirit, you're invited to join a four-week discussion group exploring “On the Shortness of Life” (De Brevitate Vitae). Written in 49 AD by the Roman philosopher and statesman Seneca, this timeless essay examines the value of time, how to live with purpose, and why it's essential to focus on what matters most.
Together, we’ll explore how Seneca's reflections on time, mortality, and living intentionally resonate with our Christian faith, especially as we prepare for Advent. Throughout the sessions, we'll connect Seneca’s wisdom with biblical teachings and dive into meaningful conversations.
