Thrivent Financial for Lutherans exists to help its members achieve  financial security and give back to their congregations, institutions and the broader community.  Care in Congregations and Care Abounds in Communities are two ways that our congregation can apply for financial funding.

Care Abounds in Communities®

This program provides funding and other resources for chapter members who want to help meet a need in their community.

· Fund-raising activity – An activity to raise money, which can then be supplemented with Care Abounds in Communities program funds.

* Example: Souper Bowl of Caring, Centennial Square, Relay for Life, Boy Scout BBQ Brisket  Fundraiser

· Hands-on service activity – Involves volunteer labor to assemble, develop or improve something for an identified recipient. Thrivent   Financial provides financial assistance to purchase the necessary  materials.

* Example: Building a shelter at a local park.

See one of our Thrivent representatives or chapter’s board members for applications or other information.

Representatives:  Rosemary Holm and Mary Schlobohm

Board Members:   Ian Gillespie, Nancy Borgfeldt and Dorothy Johnston
